Differences Between DHI and FUE

There are kinds of different techniques used for hair transplant treatment. But, in this article, we will look at the most technological and most successful two methods of hair transplant treatment. One of them is ‘Direct Hair Implementation’ called DHI, and the other one is ‘Follicular Unit Extraction’ called FUE.

When we look at the FUE, we can see that this method is the most preferred technique used in hair transplantation treatment. Basically in this method surgeons are taking grafts manually from the back or side of your head. One graft can contain lots of individual hair follicles so, surgeons separate those follicles one by one and implement it to the recipient area where is a bald or thinning site of your scalp.

On the other hand, DHI is the newly emerging technique used in hair transplantation treatment. Thus, we can say that the most technological way to restore your hair. But it is an expensive method relative to the FUE method because it is a newly and technological method. Basically, DHI follows the same procedures like the FUE method. The main difference between direct hair implement and follicular unit extraction is, surgeons manually cut your scalp to take grafts and follicles in the FUE but, in the DHI surgeons use a tool like a pen and it cuts and takes hair follicles at the same time. The rest of the procedures are the same.

Many patients complain that the hair transplant treatment like FUT leaves a scar on their scalp. So, there is good news for you. Both techniques that FUE and DHI leave no visible scar.

All in all, we can say that the FUE and the DHI basically the same methods. Even we can call DHI to micro FUE. But, of course, the innovations brought by technology are present in the method.
