Hair Loss After Pregnancy

There are many types of hair loss. Even babies can suffer from a type of hair loss when they’re not even 1 year old. There are many things that may affect hair density and hair safety. Age, heredity, environment, psychological status, nutrition, cleanliness, hair length, hair girth, skin diseases, and hair care are the most important things that determine the safety of your hair follicles. Your hormones’ status is also an important factor for your hair follicles’ safety. For example, hair loss after pregnancy is a common problem that can be seen in every woman.

Hormonal changes in body may cause several problems. For example, pregnancy can be very tough for most women. Most pregnant women’s feet suffer from swelling during the last months of their pregnancy. This is a common problem for pregnant women. However, there is another pregnant woman problem which is even worse than the feet swelling.

A slight hair loss can hit pregnant women for hormonal reasons. Because of pregnancy, hormonal irregularities start in women’s bodies, and these irregularities trouble women more after their pregnancy. A massive hair loss can be seen after pregnancy. Once the hormone levels on women’s body return to normal 1-2 months after their pregnancy, the massive hair loss generally stops.

However, if the hair loss still remains even months after pregnancy, a dermatologist or gynecologist’s consultancy may be needed for a treatment or prescription drugs, lotions, or creams. One should first need to understand the real reason for her hair loss. Pregnancy may not be the reason for a woman to lose her hair.

There is a type of hair loss called ” male pattern baldness ” and it can also be seen on women by the name of ” female pattern baldness “. This type of hair loss is transferred via heredity and there is no certain cure for such hair loss.
